ROK Electrics has a lot of experience in garden power and lighting, If you’ve been wondering how to make your garden more usable when the sun goes down, or thinking about having some power and lights put into the garden shed then look no further.
External electrics are particularly hazardous due to the presence of water, condensation, humidity and the extremes of the weather, which can make equipment deteriorate faster outdoors. When considering your plans for the garden, be it large or small, remember that as far as your outdoor electrics are concerned the garden is the most dangerous place in the home environment for injuries. According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) using their historical statistics, around 300,000 people will be injured in their gardens this year and a significant proportion will be related to electrical injuries.
ROK Electrics can design and build your outdoor electrics, whether it’s a single security light or 100 LED lights spread around the garden lighting up your prize plants and sculptures we have the knowledge and experience to help, we have worked on BALI award winning gardens, why not have a look at our case studies page.

Fault finding and maintenance
ROK Electrics can carry out one off or regular maintenance of your indoor or outdoor installations which is strongly advised to keep things working properly and safely, there is nothing worse than all the friends and family expecting a beautifully lit garden only to see a brief flash before all the electrics stop working including the house electrics, if this is something you wish to avoid or if you do have the unfortunate failure of any of your outdoor electrics even if it’s just replacing those hard to reach bulbs give us a call on 01428 651051 or
How Part – P of the building regulations can effect you.
Part P of the building regulations now effectively bans garden enthusiasts from installing their own electrics in ponds, sheds, garages and greenhouses which means that all electrical work in the garden must be carried out by a government approved electrician registered with the NICEIC like ROK Electrics.
According to the regulations, gardeners are allowed to maintain and replace existing equipment.
However, because the risk of electric shock is far greater outside, a government approved electrician who can provide a certificate, such as one registered by the NICEIC must undertake all other work. That's where ROK Electrics can help you.
